Welcome!

Welcome to my little corner of the Internet!

Among other things, I'm exploring all that the DotNetNuke website framework has to offer.

You can email me at Larry@LarryDaniele.com.

My Other Sites

Here's a partial list of the web sites that I'm responsible for:

  • CompanionSoftware.com - My business site and the home of the Metafile Companion utility for editing Windows metafiles.
  • SunderlandPublicLibrary.org - A labor of love for the public library in this wonderful town of Sunderland, MA USA.
  • DebbieHennes.com - A site created for an artist friend. Sometimes, simple is good.
  • BurtCohen.com - Personal website of the professor, writer, political activist and former New Hampshire state senator Burt Cohen.

For more information, you can see my website development portfolio.

I would also encourage people interested in developing their own web site to look at DotNetNuke. It's what I'm using to create this site. Once it's set up, it's quite simple to add, edit and remove content over time.

I'm using the Minimalist skin created by Evan O'Neil for the overall style of this site. It is quite flexible and easy to work with.

It all started off simple enough. Vickie, Laura and I were to travel to Boulder, Colorado for James' graduation from the Culinary School of the Rockies (CSR). Of course, like all great heroes, we had to be challenged. Mother Nature whipped up a doosy of a snow storm that paralyzed the Northeast. But after a 7.5 hour drive to LaGuardia (after they closed Hartford and White Plains airports) and nearly 24 hours of traveling, we made it to Denver and then Boulder. In the end, it was definitely worth it!

We stayed at the historic Boulderado Hotel and loved it. Here we are sitting in front of the fireplace in the lobby. (You click on any photo to see a larger version. Just click the browser "Back"  button when you are done.)

Even the walkway connecting the older building to the newer one was beautiful:

We were treated to a real feast at the CSR graduation. Lots of friends and family were there:

There were so many guests that some had to eat in the kitchen:

Here are a few shots of James getting his diploma:

James was a real culinary "rock star" at his sushi table. Here James-san made all sorts of sushi and sashimi to order and won over lots of converts:

The next day we were treated to a tour of Boulder. The scenery was just magnificent! Check out the Flat Irons (any Coors beer drinkers should recognize these):

Here we are up on the mountain, overlooking Boulder:

Can you tell which way the wind is blowing in this next shot?!?

A BIG thank you to Teddy for treating us all in style throughout our journey. It was truly appreciated!
