While Irving Berlin was dreaming of a White Christmas, we certainly had one:

But this year, the kids' Christmas was pink and blue. Santa splurged for new cell phones for them. The hot Motorola Razr cell phone in pink for Laura and Libby and blue for Joe. (Santa actually made them go on a hunt for them - lots of fun for the parents if not the kids!)

We had a nice Christmas eve eve dinner on the 23rd with Grandma Millie, Vickie, Laura, Joe and Libby:

As is our tradition, we do most of our celebrating on Christmas Eve. Vickie, Laura, Joe, Libby and I went out to eat at our favorite Chinese restaurant, China Dynasty, in South Deerfield. The kids were bracing themselves for a prolonged ride after dinner to look at all the Christmas lights before returning home to open presents. We spared them and just Vickie and I cruised around. Then the fun began...

Three days earlier, after a futile search for a nice live tree, we resorted to putting up "Old Faithful":

And the stockings were stuffed with all sorts of goodies (including underwear and LOTS of chocolate). Dad even got MORE coal than usual this year - thanks, Mom!

Just look at the glee on the "tiny tots" faces! That was my Christmas wish come true.
